Queer Eye<\/a> star Jonathan Van Ness<\/a> has proudly shown off his dramatic weight loss after shedding 66lbs.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old candidly told fans last month that he was taking weight loss medication, and that it had helped him ‘massively’ after struggling with binge eating.<\/p>\n

He’s now revealed the effects with before and after pictures shared on his Instagram<\/a> Stories.<\/p>\n

The Netflix<\/a> star posted side-by-side images of himself before and after losing 66lbs, showing all his fans the comparison.<\/p>\n

In the second one, he struck a confident pose flexing his bicep, revealing his toned stomach.<\/p>\n

According to MailOnline<\/a>, Jonathan also shared another post explaining his weight loss came from medication, diet changes including less alcohol and fitness, and said how ‘proud’ he was after the transformation.<\/p>\n

‘I want to note, GLP-1s have been a huge help,’ he said.<\/p>\n

‘I have also made major other changes.<\/p>\n

‘First was my diet obvs, second was way less alcohol, and finally group Pilates which has been most pivotal.<\/p>\n

‘My mental health and overall feeling is a different universe since last year and the biggest change was group fitness.<\/p>\n

‘Overall though, I\u2019m so proud of myself and want to share. Take what works for you & leave the rest.’<\/p>\n

This comes after Jonathan told his followers about how the weight loss medication had helped him when he ‘wasn’t feeling good’.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to TikTok<\/a> last month, the hairstylist said: ‘I have a confession to make, yes I am on GLP-1, or a weight loss medication.’<\/p>\n

According to the NHS, GLP-1 agonists are medications used to treat Type 2 diabetes, by mimicking the action of a hormone which is naturally released when someone eats food and can reduce appetite or slow the digestion of food so it takes longer to absorb sugars from meals.<\/p>\n

Though he didn’t go into detail of what medication he is specifically on, Ozempic is one form of GLP-1 medication, and is a Type 2 diabetes<\/a> drug that has controversially become popular among Hollywood stars<\/a>, including Sharon Osbourne<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the TikTok<\/a> video, Jonathan went on: ‘If you have followed me for a long time, you’ll know that I’ve gained and lost weight several times very publicly.<\/p>\n

‘This time in my life I knew that I needed a bit of help.<\/p>\n

‘With everything that I’d been through publicly and privately in the last couple of years, I’d gained quite a bit of weight, wasn’t feeling good and the most important thing was that my binge-eating disorder was out of control.<\/p>\n

‘I was consistently making decisions that I regretted with compulsive eating and with binging that just left me feeling really not good, depressed and out of control.’<\/p>\n

advised him on GLP-1 injections, after taking them in a tablet form a few years ago.<\/p>\n<p>‘I felt immediately better,’ he went on.<\/p>\n<p>‘For the first time in my life I had control over my food intake, it has helped me so massively, and that is part of why I want to be so honest with you about it, because I know how important asking for help is and how much asking for help can change your life in terms of healing.<\/p>\n<p>‘And this time, I needed help.’<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan, who identifies as non-binary, has been an expert on Queer Eye since it began in 2018, alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/02\/16\/queer-eye-star-antonis-hugely-personal-tv-show-will-leave-sobbing-22552906\/\">Antoni Porowski<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/08\/24\/tan-france-shares-the-one-item-thats-wasting-space-in-your-carry-on-19384683\/\">Tan France<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2019\/03\/07\/queer-eye-host-karamo-brown-forgives-past-cocaine-addiction-became-escape-8846632\/\">Karamo Brown<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/11\/13\/queer-eye-star-quits-netflix-show-calling-decision-necessary-19818321\/\">Bobby Berk<\/a> who was <a
