href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/dean-mccullough\/\">Dean McCullough<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The TV legend first hit our screens on <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/love-island\/\">Love Island<\/a> in 2019, alongside the likes of <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/tommy-fury\/\">Tommy Fury<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/11\/22\/molly-mae-hague-promises-docuseries-will-expose-unglamorous-life-first-look-22046068\/\">Molly-Mae Hague<\/a>, where she firmly placed herself in the TV show, Series 24, Australia - 27 Nov 2024\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Maura addressed the tension between Dean and Melvin in the camp (Picture: ITV\/Shutterstock)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But it’s certainly that nice side of her that came out on I’m A Celebrity in what turned out to be <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/09\/im-a-celebrity-2024-proof-best-tv-doesnt-need-drama-22151616\/\">one of the most wholesome seasons<\/a> of the reality competition.<\/p>\n<p>With very little drama taking place, aside from some <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/13\/im-a-celebrity-viewers-embarrassed-dean-mccullough-reignites-feud-22187487\/\">bickering about chores<\/a>, the celebrities appeared to ‘compliment each other so harmoniously’, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/11\/27\/im-not-convinced-this-years-im-a-celebrity-good-tv-22068982\/\">in the words of former campmate Gillian McKeith<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And Maura has insisted there were no unaired arguments, and the camp really did get along as viewers saw.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about any tensions between radio presenters Melvin and ‘HouDeani’ Dean, she said: ‘I didn’t see any arguments and the whole thing with Melvin and Dean, genuinely the only bit that I saw, it was like tongue in cheek to me.<\/p>\n<p>‘I never saw conflict or anything like that with anyone in camp. There was not even a moment where I felt like even rolling my eyes at anyone.<\/p>\n<p>‘It was really nice. I felt really lucky to be a part of this year’s camp.’<\/p>\n<p>When asked if she was wary of certain characters she may be in the jungle with before the official line-up had been announced, she told us: ‘No because I’d hate to judge someone before meeting them, you know? So I definitely didn’t do that.<\/p>\n<p>‘I was just very open minded. I felt really lucky to be a part of this year’s camp.’ (Picture: ITV\/Shutterstock)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Despite having no expectations about her campmates, Maura did admit it was ‘much harder’ than she thought it would be, but that she also didn’t expect to enjoy it as much.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest obstacle to overcome though was the hunger – which several stars in the past have claimed shocked them.<\/p>\n<p>Maura said: ‘I didn\u2019t expect the hunger to bother me that much, like I thought, oh yeah, I’d be a bit hungry.<\/p>\n<p>‘But it’s not just a bit hungry, like your stomach is growling 24\/7, you never feel satisfied. So yeah, that was tough.’<\/p>\n<p>She went on: ‘I didn’t see anyone getting hangry. Everyone was in such good spirits all the time, and especially going to trials and stuff, because you’re on such a low calorie diet, you’re struggling for energy.<\/p>\n<p>‘And it’s not what you see, it’s a good long walk, and you’re up and down steps.<\/p>\n<p>‘And some days you’re literally just breathing loudly, and you’re like, “oh my god, I can’t do this. TV show, Series 24, Australia - 05 Dec 2024\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Maura was the sixth celebrity eliminated from the jungle (Picture: James Gourley\/ITV\/Shutterstock)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In previous years, it\u2019s been revealed the celebrities taking part have lost a shocking amount of weight during their time in the jungle, with 2022 contestant <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/chris-moyles\/\">Chris Moyles<\/a> saying he <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2022\/11\/25\/im-a-celebrity-chris-moyles-reveals-massive-weight-loss-from-jungle-stint-17827199\/#:~:text=Speaking%20to%20Toby%20Tarrant%20on%20The%20Chris%20Moyles,weight%21%20%E2%80%98I%E2%80%99ve%20lost%20a%20stone%20and%20a%20half%21%E2%80%99\">lost a stone and a half<\/a> while on the show, while last year\u2019s campmate <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/12\/19\/im-a-celebrity-2023-star-fred-sirieix-still-recovering-weight-loss-19998923\/\">Fred Sirieix said his \u2018stomach shrunk\u2019 <\/a>after the bland diet.<\/p>\n<p>This year, both Barry McGuigan and <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/16\/im-a-celebrity-star-shows-off-dramatic-weight-loss-shirtless-selfie-22195060\/\">Melvin Odoom revealed they’d lost seven kilos<\/a>, while Jane Moore – who was the first eliminated contestant and left camp after 15 days – also recently said she went down from 10st 3lb to 9st 7lb and <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/01\/im-a-celebrity-star-reveals-shock-weight-loss-just-two-weeks-camp-22097377\/\">her clothes were \u2018hanging off\u2019 her<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>‘Yeah, you definitely lose weight. I mean, you’re basically on rations, it’s a serious diet. But also, your skin gets so clear and fresh looking, so that was quite nice to see,’ Maura said.<\/p>\n<p>Now that she’s left the jungle, there’s reports Maura is <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/11\/im-a-celebrity-star-maura-higgins-net-worth-ahead-big-tv-gig-22165443\/\">set for a massive TV job<\/a> after ‘catching a top producer’s attention’.<\/p>\n<p>Teasing what’s to come, she said: ‘There’s lots of stuff in the pipeline which is so exciting. I mean, I’m not a dancer,’ she said, and when we pointed out that she was on Dancing On Ice earlier this year, continued: ‘Yeah, and I struggled. I hadn’t skated either.<\/p>\n<p>‘So I’ve never performed, I’d never danced. But you know what? Never say never. I mean, I can’t imagine I’d do very well.
