href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/paul-hollywood\/\">Paul Hollywood<\/a> came to the rescue after a pilot had crashed his aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>Iain Stingmore, 58, issued a mayday call after he plummeted into a farmer’s field after ‘losing all airspeed’ unexpectedly.<\/p>\n<p>First on the scene was Hollywood, 59, who noticed the emergency while on a helicopter flying lesson.<\/p>\n<p>Under the guidance of his instructor, the <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/channel-4\/\">Channel 4<\/a> star landed in the field and dashed over to assist Stingmore.<\/p>\n<p>Stingmore had emerged from the wreckage and was not seriously injured but sustained cuts to his leg and a bruised rib.<\/p>\n<div class=\"factbox\" data-ico=\"factbox_article\" The celebrity baker, who resides in a ??1 million mansion in Ashford, has been using the chopper for flying lessons, which has sparked complaints due to the noise. The bake off star was seen flying with an instructor close to his Ashford home as he approached a landing as he continues to work towards his private pilots licence. Despite living close to Headcorn Aerodrome, Hollywood opts to have his helicopter, a Robinson Raven, flown from Manston airport to his home for lessons. Neighbours are reportedly upset, not just because of the noise, but also because Hollywood frequently uses the helicopter for personal trips, including luxury getaways with his wife Melissa. Public flight logs indicate that Hollywood has been flying solo across the UK, often landing in the gardens of 5-star hotels. He has even installed a windsock in his garden to monitor flying conditions. I was really grateful for that.’<\/p>\n<p>He added: ‘I even joked it was a shame he didn’t bring any cakes.
