PAPER<\/em> watched her command a festival crowd, the creative direction was all hers. She opened the set with various negative comments she\u2019s received over the past year, like: \u201cher career mostly has been dressing like a Hooters waitress and dancing like a stripper,\u201d \u201cfatherless attention seeking,\u201d \u201cdoes she know what pants are?,\u201d \u201cone hit wonder\u201d and \u201cTrailer Swift.\u201d <\/p>\nInstead of letting these comments get to her, she turned them into strength, empowering herself in the process. “Being a California girl, performing at Stagecoach had been on my bucket list forever,” she says. “It was so insane and went better than I ever could\u2019ve imagined. I put so much time and effort into the production, the creative and the overall performance, and it was so rewarding seeing it come to life on the main stage.”<\/p>\n
Besides Stagecoach, Dasha is everywhere these days, including on a global tour with Thomas Rhett and Dylan Scott \u2014 for good reason! Her new single, \u201cNot At This Party\u201d follows in the footsteps of her smash hit \u201cAustin\u201d as her second song to debut on the Billboard Hot 100. I made a joke before singing “Austin” that if someone isn\u2019t in the pool by the time I’m done I did something wrong. Well by the last chorus my whole team, including my dad, was in the pool \u2014 so you know I had to make a running jump.<\/p>\n
