Cameron Diaz<\/a> was spotted looking cheery while stepping out in public for the first time with 11-month-old son Cardinal.<\/p>\n

The 52-year-old actress, who recently made her comeback to the screen, rocked an oversized white shirt, baggy trousers, and a black hat in Santa Barbara, California<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Cameron’s bundle of joy had his face blurred, but the former romcom queen appeared to be in high spirits as she walked to her car.<\/p>\n

The Holiday icon and husband Benji Madden confirmed the birth of their son last year<\/a> March on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They wrote at the time: \u2018We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!<\/p>\n

\u2018For the kids safety and privacy we won\u2019t be posting any pictures- but he\u2019s a really cute.<\/p>\n

Cameron and Benji \u2013 who married in January 2015 \u2013 welcomed daughter Raddix<\/a> in 2019.<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s Instagram announcement about Cardinal\u2019s arrival was showered with love and support from fans and friends alike, with Katy Perry writing: \u2018Another Earth angel\u2019, and Benji\u2019s brothers Joel and Josh posting a series of hearts.<\/p>\n

The Bad Teacher actress previously gushed about what a great dad Benji is.<\/p>\n

Speaking to chat show host Jimmy Fallon, she said: \u2018He\u2019s like, Benj at home, being the best dad ever and running all of his businesses, and then he just gets up there [on stage] and he\u2019s like, \u201cYeah, all right, pyro! Pfft\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2018Yeah, he makes up \u2014 he has, honestly, I\u2019m like, \u201cWhy don\u2019t we just\u2026you need to do a kids\u2019 album,\u201d because he has the best songs.<\/p>\n

\u2018They play in my head all the time because he sings them to her and she knows the words. And it\u2019s the sweetest thing ever. It really is. It\u2019s so\u2026it kills me.\u2019<\/p>\n

Following an 11-year hiatus away from the big screen. Cameron returned for Netflix<\/a>\u2019s critically panned action comedy Back In Action<\/a> alongside Jamie Foxx.<\/p>\n

The star ditched the glitz and glam of Hollywood<\/a> for just over a decade and attributed the break to taking time to raise her family.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Still Watching Netflix<\/a>, she explained: \u2018[In 2014] I was not keeping up with any kind of training. I did nothing public. I said no to everything.\u2019<\/p>\n

She added: \u2018I [was] being a mum and living my day-to-day. I [was just] trying to stay alive just like every other mother. I\u2019m just trying to keep it going.\u2019<\/p>\n

Cameron and her husband of 10 years Benji Madden have two children, a daughter named Raddix, 5, and Cardinal.<\/p>\n

The Holiday actress previously explained that Dreamgirls star Jamie was the only reason she returned to the spotlight.<\/p>\n

She told Empire in the interview: \u201dI thought that if I was going to come back and do a movie, the only person I\u2019d come back and do it with would be this guy.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I was always saying, \u201cNo. I\u2019m not doing it, I\u2019ve told you\u2026 What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n

Cameron has appeared in countless films over the years, including the Holiday, Shrek Charlie\u2019s Angels and My Best Friend\u2019s Wedding.<\/p>\n
