Timothee Chalamet’s mum stepped in for Kylie Jenner as her son’s date last night.
The actor, 29, won big at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, becoming the youngest person in history to win best actor, but his grieving girlfriend Kylie, 27, was nowhere to be seen.
While the couple have been inseparable this award season, The Kardashians star was likely in the company of friends and family after the devastating death of her long-time pal and hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero.
Fans noted her absence from the award ceremony, but it was quickly overshadowed by Timothee’s historic win.
Accompanied by his mother, Nicole Flender, the star of the moment appeared overwhelmed by his surprise win for his performance in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.
Timothee is now officially the youngest star to win the award.

‘I was not expecting this at all, truly. I’ll start by thanking my mother, who I’m here with tonight. She has been working at Actors Equity for 40 years, the stage union,’ he said of Nicole, who is a former Broadway dancer turned New York real estate agent.
‘And I’ll quickly run through this, you know. I know the classiest thing would be to downplay the effort that went into this role and how much this means to me. But the truth is this was five and a half years of my life.’
Timothee went on to say: ‘I poured everything I had into playing this incomparable artist, Bob Dylan, a true American hero, and it was the honour of a lifetime playing him.’
‘It’s an honour I share with Monica [Barbaro], Elle [Fanning], Edward [Norton], the entire cast, who in a genre – doing a biopic – that could be perhaps tired, everyone gave it their all, so I’m deeply grateful to them.’
The star then declared he has his heart set on ‘greatness’ as he admitted he ‘can’t downplay the significance of this award’.

‘I know people don’t usually talk like that, but I wanna be one of the greats. I’m inspired by the greats. I’m inspired by the greats here tonight.’
Listing Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando and Viola Davis as his acting idols, Timothee shared that the award is ‘more fuel’ and ‘more ammo’ to continue toward his goal.
Why Kylie Jenner was not with Timothee Chalamet at the SAG Awards
Kylie and her beau have been spotted together at several award shows throughout their two-year relationship; however, the reality star was noticeably absent from last night’s ceremony.
While her team are yet to confirm why, the award show occurred less than 24 hours after news broke that her hairstylist and friend, Guerrero had died.

Guerrero’s sister announced that the talented hairstylist, 34, died ‘suddenly and unexpectedly’ over the weekend. No cause of death has been shared.
Kylie had worked with the talented hairdresser for years, with his clientele also including A-listers such as Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and Demi Moore.
The beauty mogul has yet to publicly react to the news.
Timothee Chalamet becomes youngest star to win best actor at SAG Awards
Timothee was up against many Hollywood heavyweights in his category, including former James Bond star Daniel Craig, Adrien Brody, Colman Domingo and Ralph Fiennes.
But he clearly had just the right amount of star power in the James Mangold directed film to earn the majority of votes from SAG-AFTRA members.
It’s an impressive achievement for the young star as prior to his win, Nicolas Cage was the youngest actor to win the award. He was just 32 when he won for his 1992 performance in Leaving Las Vegas.

And while the SAG Award marks Timothee’s first major award win, he is no stranger to impressive nominations.
In the 2018 award season, he was nominated for an Academy Award, Bafta, Critics Choice Award, Golden Globe, and SAG Award for his performance in the Luca Guadagnino film Call Me by Your Name.
However, his role in A Complete Unknown could be his ticket to success, as he is also nominated for best actor at the Oscars.
With the ceremony taking place on March 2, he won’t have to wait long before finding out whether he will beat Adrien’s record of becoming the youngest star to win the award.
Adrien was just 30 years old when he won in 2002 for his role in The Pianist.
