The Simpsons fans are celebrating all their ‘hopes and dreams’ coming true after not one, but two major announcements.

The beloved animated series has been running for nearly four decades, with viewers having been first introduced to the dysfunctional yellow family back in 1989.

Since then, more than 700 episodes of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie’s antics have been broadcast.

And after a long wait, viewers in the UK have been treated to new episodes of season 36 finally dropping after airing in the US last year.

For the first time ever, they’ve launched exclusively on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland, which marks a huge change as the show was previously available on Channel 4 and Sky.

The first five episodes of are already available on Disney+, with new ones arriving weekly on Mondays.

As if that wasn’t enough, fans in the US are now able to watch The Simpsons all day, every day.

Disney+ has announced a new 24/7 stream, showing 767 episodes of The Simpsons from the first ever season up to the 35th.

‘From day one, the fans have asked for a Stream of The Simpsons and we’re happy to oblige,’ Gabe Lewis, SVP of programming and content curation for Disney+ said in a statement.

‘Streams on Disney+ have been a fantastic go-to experience for subscribers looking to sit back and relax with their favourite shows and movies, and we look forward to evolving the user experience and expanding the offering with more Streams, to more subscribers, later this year.’

Showrunner Matt Selman added: ‘The Simpsons Stream will deliver a Simpsons marathon all day, every day — no matter when you tune in, this ultimate Simpsons binge will be there.’

The Simpsons programming lineup will be refreshed monthly, with the Streams channel available for Disney+ premium subscribers in the US from today, alongside the service’s other nonstop playlists including Real Life, Hits & Heroes, and Throwbacks.

Fans are ecstatic over the news, with JollyRoger writing on X: ‘For those curious, it will take the stream roughly 282 hours to cycle through all of the episodes, which is about 12 days. So if you strategize properly, you’d only have to take 8 days off work to get this done.’

Dean0mac said: ‘Absolutely love this show. Been watching since it came out.’
