There were plenty of tears from Kelly Brook after she completed this Sunday’s London Marathon with determination, a solid training plan—and a lot of Vaseline.
The former Page 3 star has been training for months alongside her husband, actor and model Jeremy Parisi, and says she’s feeling more confident than ever in her fitness.
However, she admitted that she wasn’t leaving anything to chance after a tough training session left her bleeding.
‘I have gone through pots of Vaseline,’ Kelly told The Sun ahead of the race.
She recalled a recent run where she forgot it at home, saying: ‘Nothing prepares you for the chafing! I was bleeding after 10k.’
But all the blood and sweat were worth it, as Brook broke down in relief after completing the marathon in six hours and 42 minutes.

Pictures show the media personality wiping her eyes after crossing the finish line, later posing with her other half and their medals.
Taking to social media with a selfie from their cab home, Kelly’s proud caption read: ‘We did it 🏃🏃♀️🥇’
They were quickly inundated with congratulatory messages, with Amanda Holden commenting: ‘Well done 👏’
Vicky Pattison added: ‘Well done mate! Absolutely amazing 😍’
Brook and Parisi, who have been married since 2022, began their marathon training journey last October.

Reflecting on their progress, Brook said: ‘Before Christmas, I was only running 2-3k before getting tired. 7k now is a warm up, so whatever happens on the day, I have made such progress in terms of my running capabilities.’
The couple, who previously showcased their endurance skills on Race Across the World, have leaned on each other during the demanding training regime.
Brook joked that if she struggles on the big day, she has a backup plan: ‘Jeremy, I’m sure, will carry me over the finish line if he has to.’
Speaking about their approach, the star said: ‘We love to train hard and keep that up all year,’ recalling experiences like hiking snowy mountains during Christmas and climbing a volcano during their reality TV adventure.
This year, Brook and Parisi were running as part of the Radox Runners team, a role that she says is a natural fit following their time on Race Across the World.

‘This has been brilliant because we are in control of our training and performance,’ she explained.
‘With TV, it’s never entirely down to you what the outcome will be. With the Marathon, it’s all on us and it’s exciting—we can’t wait.’
Brook lined up alongside thousands of runners this morning, including famous faces like Harry Judd, Joe Wicks, and Alexandra Burke, ready to take on the iconic 26.2-mile challenge through the streets of the capital.
