Vicky Pattison became emotional as she reflected on married life during the launch of her brand new reality TV dating show The Honesty Box.

The former I’m A Celebrity winner, 37, is appearing alongside Married At First Sight Australia star Lucinda Light for E4’s brand new series which will see 12 love-seeking individuals arrive at an idyllic setting, known as Truetopia, where a tempting fusion of luxury and romance awaits.

Speaking exclusively to Metro, Vicky opened up on her own love life and marriage to Ercan Ramadan, having had several of her past relationships play out on our screens over the years.

‘My life is absolutely lovely and I don’t mean to sound too smug. We’ve been married for like 5 minutes, so maybe ask again in 5 years, but it’s everything I wanted it to be like.

‘My life is very fast and very loud. I’m quite chaotic and unpredictable and my brain is just a very noisy place to be sometimes. I’m going to cry…,’ Vicky added through tears.

‘He’s a safe space. He’s a sense of calm, the armchair to go home to. When I’m with him, things aren’t as loud. It’s just the best, everybody who meets him loves him and it doesn’t hurt that he’s so handsome! I’m really happy and so lucky.’

Vicky and Ercan, who previously appeared on TOWIE in 2016, got engaged back in February 2022 before tying the knot in August last year at Marylebone Town Hall, with a lavish Italian ceremony following in September.

The former Geordie Shore star and her dating expert co-star have welcomed a cast of singletons to a radical new dating experiment with just one rule – do not lie.

Daters (or Truetopians as they’re called on the show) will explore romances with their matches before being regularly tested by the dreaded Honesty Box, a state-of-the-art AI detection system which probes questions about their true feelings.

If the contestants tell the truth, it could impact their newly-formed relationships, and if they lie, it will reduce the £100,000 prize pot.

While Vicky hosts the show, Lucinda guides the dates as their Sincerity Coach, encouraging them to discover their own inner truth.

Vicky described the show as the perfect mix of Love Island and The Traitors, explaining that contestants are grilled within the Honesty Box about anything from past relationships, to divisive opinions.

And as for the cast on the show, Vicky and Lucinda describe them as a ‘really nice and eclectic mix of people’ adding: ‘They all wanted to take part in an experiment that would help them find an honest relationship.’

The mix of singletons includes Vikki, a 34 year old PR consultant who lives with her parents in Dorset, and Maldini, 29, who is a former semi-professional footballer, to name a few.

Speaking about the contestants, Lucinda tells us: ‘It’s such a good cast.’

With Vicky adding: ‘I’m a huge reality fan myself, you’ll always catch me watching it. But I think what’s nice is you really get to know the cast. You find out why they are on a TV show, why they’re looking for love in this slightly unorthodox way.

‘You see behind the bikinis and the gorgeousness. You see real people.’

Despite the singletons looking for love, there were some heartbreaking moments during filming as well, with Vicky reflecting to us: ‘We watched these people grow and we watched them fall in love.

‘They put themselves out there and it’s really difficult to not have an actual connection when you’re watching them so closely. There was a moment where one of the girls hadn’t had much luck and we really thought she’d found a connection that she deserved as well.

‘She was beautiful, bubbly and great and it just didn’t work out how we thought and it was heartbreaking,’ she added. ‘There was just so much emotion wrapped up in it and I cried!’

Watch The Honesty Box Mondays to Wednesdays at 9pm on E4 or stream on Channel 4.
